Customised Team Training

We offer adaptive learning that is relevant to the learner, developed and customised to meet the need of the business.

An example of a customised team training course that we have developed is the Youth Entrepreneur Success (Y.E.S.) Program:

Youth Entrepreneur Success (Y.E.S.) Program

This program has been designed to give youth at school an opportunity to realise that owning a business is not a ‘pipe dream’ but a series of actions taken and decisions made, that can lead them to great wealth, success and happiness. It has been collated by a successful businessman in Brisbane who is now the CEO of a Registered Training Organisation.

While it is not an accredited course it does enhance any business level the teenagers are currently doing at school in Business or management. In fact this program teaches them what they won’t learn from a textbook. But they must do it themselves. They are expected to create a fledgling business, register it, research GST and Directors responsibilities.

The youths come up with a product or service to take to market; they name the business, give their commitments to the other 3 directors, decide how they will share profits long term, and manage marketing activities and sales strategies. They are then given forecasts and sales results so they can plan and move forward.

At the completion of the12-15 hours they will present the company to a group of invited local businesspeople for some feedback. There is at least 2 group and up to 5 groups to create a competitive marketplace.

They get the message that in real life business, it’s not about being right or wrong, but about finding out how, recognizing and using other people’s skills, working in teams and forging lasting relationships that assist them to where they are going.

The pilot program was completed November 2010 at John Paul College and went very well.
